Jane Everhart

Jane Everhart has sketched and painted from the world around her, much of the time in western and northern Michigan and northern Indiana, and in Colorado and New England. Additionally, art traditions pass in and out and around the artwork: Western measure, Eastern mindfulness, and near-Eastern story. Our shared global tradition of difficulty sharing the earth informs, each day, her studio work. And so does the belief that Art can regenerate us, toward our best effort.

Jane is a graduate of DePauw University (Art, Magna Cum Laude), and Indiana University (Linguistics, East Asian Language and Culture). She studied privately with Ruth Gikow in New York City, and Liang dan-Fong in Taipei, Taiwan and Jo Wang Hess in Bloomington Indiana. Her artwork is found in collections throughout the U.S., and in Europe and Japan.
